BK may be the only comedy magician that also cooks for his clients and their guests! While his introduction to performing happened at a young age (he was born at a very young age, -1), he was fortunate to make a friend and mentor of one of the best comedy magicians in the business.
BK's own blend of quick wit and sleight of hand has landed him 1000s of performances from coast to coast (Chicago to Michigan?) including casino and corporate audiences, multiple performances in "Magic Chicago" and the production of his own one-man show that ran for 2 years in both Evanston and Chicago.
Loving all things Chicago (especially pizza), back in 1999, he began perfecting his own deep dish pizza. He tried numerous recipes week after week, would eat one slice, sometimes only one bite and then pass the rest off to his neighbors. "My neighbors loved me!"
He got close to what he thought was the perfect flavor and consistency but felt it was sleightly (see what we did there?) amiss. With months of trial, the help of some of his more than willing taste testing friends, the Chef at Pizzeria Due (sister restaurant to Pizzeria Uno), his late great pal Chef Stutz and a few others, he nailed it!
"I believe what makes my pizza unique is not just the flavor and consistency of the made from scratch crust (which is lighter and flakier than what you've had before) but my hand made (pain in the arse to make) sauce with imported Italian tomatoes, selection of artisan cheeses and quality of toppings. When I make pizza for your guests, I make the dough that day, crush the tomatoes by hand to get the perfect consistency for the sauce and do my best to support local businesses when sourcing ingredients."
When he's not cooking and performing, Brian is likely earning and burning his pizza by running or working out. And there’s a good chance he is watching his favorite Chicago sports teams try not to suck!
